Jean works with young children and adolescents specializing in trauma recovery, as well as adults and children living on the Gila River Reservation.

Jean utilizes Solution Focused tools, Sand Tray, play and art therapy, psycho-drama tools, body-mind psycho-education and tools, such as mindfulness, and Brain Spotting or brain/body trauma processing. She enjoys group work and has also worked with clients on substance abuse using these tools, as well as Motivational Interviewing. Jean believes that everyone knows what is best for them and that counseling is meant to help uncover this truth and provide the tools to accomplish personal goals.

Before moving to Arizona, Jean provided counseling at a rural, integrated clinic in Northern New Mexico, and worked with children and families, individuals and couples at the Clinic, in the schools, and at the county detention center. Jean relocated to the Phoenix area to be closer to her family. She also worked for many years while a single mother as a self-employed bookkeeper and prepared tax returns.
